AGRICULTURA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE: EN POS DEL DESARROLLO SOSTENIBLE
Abstract
El artículo analiza y describe las nuevas funciones del medio ambiente para la agricultura a la luz del desarrollo sostenible. Luego asocia las principales causas de impacto de la agricultura a tales funciones y de esta relación surgen una serie de importantes criterios para lograr la integración ambiental de la agricultura, es decir, para practicar una agricultura que, de un lado, respete al medio ambiente, y de otro, produzca alimentos saludables; todo ello contribuirá a mejorar la calidad de vida de los agricultores, de la población rural y, en general, de toda la población.
