EUSTRESS Y ACTIVIDAD FÍSICA: INTEGRACIÓN DE MENTE Y CUERPO
Abstract
El estudio de las vinculaciones entre las respuestas de stress (distress en su vertiente displacentera y habitualmente perniciosa y eustress en la placentera y habitualmente beneficiosa) y la actividad física es relativamente reciente, y arroja conclusiones de valor para ambas. Pasamos revista a las definiciones más utilizadas, la unidad de mente y cuerpo incluyendo los aportes de Oriente y sus implicancias para el deporte y la salud psicofísica. Posteriormente, presentamos un breve panorama histórico, social, filosófico y psicológico de la actividad física y el deporte y por último, las motivaciones para su práctica continuada, así como los criterios de su elección para distintos tipos de personas y edades.
