Engagement y Autoeficacia en Profesionales de Medicina
Abstract
En la actualidad, la labor de los profesionales de medicina requiere de un compromiso laboral y una alta autoeficacia, ya que ambas influyen en su rendimiento, en la atención que proporcionan al paciente, así como en la satisfacción por su trabajo. Por ello, se plantea analizar la relación entre el engagement y la autoeficacia en los profesionales de medicina. La muestra estuvo formada por 132 profesionales médicos de nacionalidad española, de entre 25 y 58 años. Los instrumentos utilizados para la recogida de la muestra fueron la Escala de Autoeficacia General y el Utrecht Work Engagement Scale. En el presente trabajo que no se encuentran diferencias estadísticamente significativas en cuanto al sexo y la edad, no presentándose relación entre la autoeficacia y el engagement. En cuanto al tipo de contrato laboral en médicos, se observan diferencias estadísticamente significativas en relación con la autoeficacia y el compromiso laboral en la dimensión de vigory se muestra como las tres dimensiones que componen el engagement se relacionan de manera significativa con la autoeficacia. Los factores como la autoeficacia y el engagement tiene grandes beneficios para la labor enfermera y las instituciones hospitalarias, ya que al encontrar sentido a su labor hace que tengan una mayor involucración para mejorar los resultados.
