VALORES DEL TRABAJO, CULTURA Y OTRAS ÁREAS DE VIDA: UN ANÁLISIS ESTRUCTURAL
Abstract
El objetivo del presente estudio fue analizar la estructura y la relativa importancia
de los valores personales del trabajo y otras áreas de la vida basados en muestras
de varios ambientes culturales. Dos facetas de valores fueron delineados: área de
vida (trabajo, cultura, deportes, religión, política y vida en general) y modalidad de
valores (instrumentales, afectivos y cognitivos).
Se hipotetizó que la estructura del dominante sería similar en todas las muestras,
mientras se esperaban diferencias significativas en la relativa importancia de ciertos
valores. Basados en datos obtenidos de muestras brasileñas (n=148), canadienses
(n=199), israelís (n=452) y palestinas (n= 597), las hipótesis fueron examinadas y
respaldadas.
